Ingredients:

  • 4 large russet potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Prepare the Sauce:
    • In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
    • Stir in the flour and cook for another 1-2 minutes, until the mixture is lightly browned.
